Borderlands For the PS3
I don't think I can explain exactly
what makes Borderlands so eccentric... there's just something about it.
Borderlands sell itself on the concept of its "Zillion Guns". I’ve heard from friends that real estimates that say there are at least a few hundred thousand and so far it sure seems to be true. You’ll least likely stumble upon the same gun twice. It’s both a good and bad thing (But I will say if you do stumble upon the same weapon you could always sell it later for money). Obviously it's fun to try out all sorts of different combinations, but a lot more often than you'd like, you'll wind up with a weapon that, while not useless, is just pretty lame and underpowered (this is no joke). When you do find that perfect sniper rifle that shoots lighting (you will love this gun trust me), has a 600-round clip and a 175x zoom, in the end it'll all be so very worthwhile trust me.
When you get right down to it though, this is just an amazing game all around. The graphics have sheen and polish that not many games have these days. I still think Borderlands is trying a bit too hard to be "awesome". In the end there's just something about Borderlands, some intangible characteristic that makes it such a worthwhile experience. I haven't played the online co-op yet, so I can't say anything bad about it, but the split screen co-op is one hell of a ride and there are only four character classes to choose from. The driving physics are just like the rat in Metal Arms Glitch in the System for the Xbox and PS2 and there's not much variety in your enemies (which is never a bad thing). But, Borderlands will not let you down. When your done with this game move on to Borderlands 2 and you love that one just as much –Bradley Parrales
